Attendance Information 

If you cannot attend cadets for regular training, or an event/fundraiser you have signed up for, we ask that you use the Microsoft Teams attendance channel, or email one of our staff members.

Please try to report an absence as soon as possible, and no later than two hours before the regular training night or activity in question. 

​

Please note that a cadet cannot be absent for more than three consecutive regular parade nights without requesting a Leave of Absence. To request a leave of absence, please see the information below.

Valid reasons for missing a regular training night may include: 

  • Family travel

  • Illness or injury 

  • Crucial or abundant schoolwork

  • School events

  • Family emergencies or other compassionate reasons

Leave of Absence

If you need to miss more than 3 weeks in a row, you need to request Extended Leave using the form below.

Valid reasons for extended leave may include:

  • Family travel

  • Medical issues

  • Conflict with school activity, sports playoffs, or other similar activity.

 

A cadet will not be granted Extended Leave if they have been enrolled for less than two years, or has passed their 18th birthday. 


The Form CATO 13-30 Annex A CADETS EXCUSED ABSENCE FROM LHQ TRAINING must be completed and submitted to the Commanding Officer for approval. The Commanding Officer can approve absence for up to 120 days.
